Wooden Ski Day

January 21st, 2024 ~ 9am to 5pm

Wooden Ski Day-Fundraiser for Maine Ski & Snowboard Museum & family-fun celebration of Nordic Skiing’s History!!!

Free trail pass for folks on wooden skis, but any kind of skis are accepted! Costume Parade!!! Dig out your vintage or retro Nordic ski clothing and get in the spirit of celebrating the history of Nordic Skiing. Ski Parade with Prizes will be given to 3 winners based on the following categories at 1pm: Most Old-Timey or Traditional Nordic Ski Wear, Retro 70’s/80’s Ski Wear and finally, Most Overall Creative!

Ski historian, Glenn Parkinson, from Maine Ski & Snowboard Museum, will share his knowledge of nordic ski history. Bring your ski artifacts to learn more. Live Music at 2pm with Singepole Trio Band. Norway Brewing Co. will be serving beer at 1pm. Profits will benefit Maine Ski & Snowboard Museum. Costume parade starts at 1pm.

Glenn Parkinson from the Maine Ski & Snowboard Museum will here from 9am to 5pm to talk about our own Nordic ski collection, the history of nordic skiing in this area, and any equipment you bring in to show him!

Trail Pass required for admission to this event. Rentals are available for everyone at various fees. Please see our website for more info.

Costume Parade will start at 1pm. Prizes will be given in 3 categories!

Sinegepole Trio Band will play an assortment of jazz, blues, folk, & country music from 2-5pm.

Norway Brewing Co. beer will be available for purchase starting at 1pm. Profits will benefit the Maine Ski & Snowboard Museum.
